So your little girl has decided she wants to embark on a gymnastics journey. With every class she comes home wanting to flip and tumble all over the beds and stair handrails.
What's a mom to do? Well, growing up my basement was basically a gymnastics studio and it was the most fun place ever! Building a gymnastics haven for your kids will be something they will love for years to come and something they will remember for the rest of their lives.
But how do you design an at-home gymnastics room? I pulled inspo from all over the internet and added links to whatever I was able to find so you can start building your child's dream gym, right at home!
I have divided the looks I found between posts. Today we'll dive into the first adorable gym room I found. Let's go!

What pulled me in with this room is the soft muted color tones and the playful block area. Everything gets tied together with the grey and aqua colors and the climbing ladder at the back is barely visible that's how well it's situated.
Here's how you can build a room inspired by this one:
I found the link to this cute wallpaper, so first cover all your wall space or at least a chunk of it with this wallpaper
Then you can screw the rock climbing rocks and climbing ladder to the wall. Now you're getting somewhere! Already somewhere for your little monkeys to climb.
In the photo above, you can see you need to purchase 3 sets of the black metal rungs. Feel free to leave them as is or paint some of them aqua like the photo. Use this metal-safe spray paint for that.
Now we need to cover the floor in something safe but still pretty! These carpet foam puzzle boards allow you to customize the space you need and they come in lots of different colors too! Or you can opt for this thick black speckled gym floor style!
Now it's time for the best part! That ball pit! Honestly, I can see myself coming in here as a full blown adult and just sinking into those foam cubes. It just looks so fun! So I had to do some hunting but I finally tracked down the proper square shaped ball pit.
This pit comes in lots of colors! Click here to view it on Amazon!
Here is the link to those squashy foam squares to fill the pit with! P.S. these are really fun to build towers with, even if you don't have a gym.
Here is a link to a padded giant climbing blocks that I found which you can use to lead right up to the ball pit. The sizing isn't exact, but there are many configurations and sets, so you can mix and match the pieces to fit your ball pit!
I love this little rainbow climber as well, if you don't want to purchase a bunch of pieces and you want to save on space, these rainbow climbing blocks store into each other and double as fun little tunnels for kids to climb under. Check it out!
Next, you need a high bar! Now there are lots of high bars on the market and the Tumbl Track high bar is arguably one of the best ones out there (see my review post with all its features and rave reviews) but if you are looking for something cheaper, or something that will match your kids new gym better, maybe go with this option that is under $200 and has several great reviews.

This bar is also a highly rated bar with 800 mostly 4 star reviews! It is also foldable so if you're short on space or want to double your gym room as a party room, just fold this up and store it in your garage! Selling for under $300, this might be a good option for more serious gymnasts!
Here's a great mat for under your high bar if your high bar didn't come with one.
I hope you enjoyed this in-home gymnastics designing post! Let me know if you want some more in the comment section!
Until next time,
